If you’re planning on expanding your business internationally, purchasing a Country Code Top Level Domain (ccTLD – .de, .fr, etc.) could prove beneficial. Not only will a local domain give you a better chance of appearing in search results, but customers will trust your business more if it has the local domain name for their country at the end of the URL.
With this in mind, it’s time to test your knowledge of ccTLDs. Now, at any pub quiz, the use of smart phones to sneakily find out an answer is often frowned upon but my local pub at university asks questions so difficult and so ridiculous that you couldn’t google the answer even if you wanted to!
One of the questions they like to ask involves domain names. They list four or five countries and ask you to combine their national domain names to produce one word. Sounds simple but it’s trickier than you might think! So here are a few for you to try out yourself… and no cheating!
