Creation and promotion of a microsite in 5 languages.

Established in 1989, Kids Cavern is the UK’s largest independent retailer of children’s clothing and shoes, selling designer clothing online as well as in their flagship Liverpool store, Kids Cavern offers their extensive range of designer children’s wear online.

To reach out to customers in other markets, the company launched microsites in French, German, Danish, Japanese, and Russian, using these as a form of market testing. Analytics data for each microsite will provide insight into these markets, and Kids Cavern can then focus on the languages which perform well.

After consultation with the team at Kids Cavern, our Project Managers advised on which markets to target and carried out keyword research to select the best terms for optimising the site. Kids Cavern can also use this keyword insight in Pay-Per-Click campaigns to boost traffic.

Link generation work was then done to gain inbound links to the newly localised sites. This included writing and publishing articles announcing the launch of the foreign language pages in order to generate inbound links.
